Long before you settled your world and risked your friendships over Catan, a dental technician in Germany retired and took on the new role of game designer and created the resource-rich world that’s been a game night staple for decades.
Klaus Teuber, the aforementioned designer, tells the complete story of how The Settlers of Catan came to be in a new, limited-edition book titled My Journey to Catan. Available now for the first time in English, the book features insights and background knowledge on the creation of the game. The book features a variety of behind-the-scenes content from the making of the game, including original concept sketches and photographs from across the years, most being shown publicly for the first time.
A limited number of fans will be able to share in this piece of board game history, as there will only be 1,000 copies of the hardcover sold. Each copy will come in a luxury hardcover slipcase, hand-numbered and autographed by Teuber.
